It seems like a lifetime ago, but in early March of this year Talent Street held our very first national company conference in Brisbane. We had our Sydney and Melbourne teams join us in Brisbane for 3 action packed days. Our main focus was to develop our values, our vision and implement our company plan for the next 5 years. Of course, we also found time for a couple of nice meals, a few beers and the odd bottle of wine.
Who would have thought that less than 2 weeks after we all came together, we would all be working from home for the next 3+months. The speed of change caught us all by surprise and we have all had to work through some tough challenges during this time.
As the entire Talent Street team slowly returns to our respective office’s, we’ve had time to reflect on the past 3+ months. What has really shone through is how well our team responded and managed to deliver to our clients and candidates despite the massive changes we have all faced. More often than not, providing a sympathetic ear, some words of encouragement and frequently, tailored individual advice.
Values are vitally important to every business, but it is how those values manifest within the business that has the greatest impact. It is this aspect that really excites me for the future of Talent Street.
There are without doubt many things to be learned from Covid-19, but what is evident to me is that we, as a team at Talent Street, picked the right values to underpin our company moving forward. The way the team responded to support our candidates and clients was nothing short of outstanding. They have subconsciously and consistently demonstrated our values every single day.
Talent Street has come a long way over the last few years and we are excited about the future. We hope that the worst of Covid-19 is behind us and that we can all get back on our feet, dust ourselves off and see a brighter future ahead. We know that with the team we have our future is looking very bright.
